Orangeville Kia

A chance visit to Hyundai's Korean head office and manufacturing facilities in 2006 initially peaked his interst, and after 30+ years of working for the Bank of Montreal, Phil Richards purchased the Orangeville Hyundai operations in March 2007, exactly 2 years after its introduction to the Orangeville marketplace. Since that time the dealership has grown to become a premier automotive choice for consumers in Dufferin county. 

Based on strong results, high customer satisfaction ratings and a stellar reputation in the Orangeville community, two and a half years after purchasing Orangeville Hyundai, Kia Canada approached Phil to gauge his interest in opening a Kia franchise.  Kia's well-documented upward trajectory within Canada (soon to pass Mazda and Nissan for Canadian Sales) and rapid increases across the board for reliability, quality and value helped make the decision an easy one. 

Another part of what made the decision easy was the opportunity to design a dealership from the ground up. What emerged was a state-of-the-art facility featuring a 10-car showroom, large Parts & Service reception/waiting area and a service center that has plenty of room for future growth.  Add to that Phil's wealth of connections in the banking industry to aid in setting up a financial services office to serve the dealership clientale well.

In late-May 2011, Phil with help from his two sons, Ryan and Eric, opened the doors to Orangeville Kia, looking forward to establishing a second strong import brand in the Orangeville marketplace.
