What Kia vehicles come equipped with Bluetooth?
 
  • Bluetooth is standard on all 2013+ models (except certain Rio models)
  • North American Kia vehicles are equipped with English, French and Spanish language packages.

What is the range of Bluetooth?
 
  • Bluetooth signal strength can vary depending on the phone being used and even the battery level, but typically the system can operate up to 30 feet from the vehicle.
 
Is there a setup fee or any charges associated with using Bluetooth?
 
  • No, there is no fee associated with setting up the Bluetooth wireless system in a Kia vehicle. You will need to perform a "Pairing Procedure" the first ever time you wish to use Bluetooth.
 
How do I perform the "Pairing Procedure"?


 
  • Vehicle: Press the Setup key
  • Vehicle: Press the Phone icon
  • Vehicle: Press Bluetooth Connection
  • Phone: Navigate to 'Bluetooth' menu under 'Settings'
  • Phone: Search for "Kia Motors" and select pair
  • Phone: It will either prompt to compare codes or enter a passkey (0000)
  • Phone: Allow phonebook download and future auto connection to your phone
 
Can I pair more than one phone with my Kia Bluetooth system?


 
  • Yes, you can have up to 5 devices paired with a vehicle at one time.
  • There can only be one device connected to the vehicle at a time.
  • You can set the connection priority level of each paired phone.
  • If you reach your limit or no longer require a devide to be paired, you can perform a Delete.

My phone was paired, but now won't connect. What should I do?
 
  • Confirm that your phone is not in airplane mode.
  • Confirm that your phone has Bluetooth turned on.
  • Delete pairing from both phone and vehicle, and attempt to re-pair.
  • Software updates can create compatibility issues, please contact your cell phone manufacturer regarding removal of updates if you believe this has caused issues.

What is Android Auto and Apple CarPlay?



The Android Auto and Apple CarPlay softwares seemlessly integrates your phone with your vehicle. This integrations allows for a safe, simple, intuitive interface that you can use to effectively receive and accept phone calls, listen to your music library, or navigate using one of your phone's GPS apps.

Is there a cost to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay?
 
  • There are no charges associated with connecting your phone to your car using Android Auto/Apply CarPlay.
  • Cellular provider data charges may apply based your Service Plan and the application you are using on your phone.

How do I connect my Android phone using Android Auto?

  • Make sure your phone is running Android 5.0 (Lollipop) or newer.
  • Open the 'Android Auto' application on your phone. You may need to download it from the Google Play store.
  • Connect your phone to your vehicle using a USB cable. Accept any prompts regarding access regarding application permissions.
  • Select 'Android Auto' on your vehicle's display, if it did not automatically detect and switch inputs.
  • Once paired, you can connect using Android Auto through USB cable or a wireless connection.

How do I connect my Apple phone using Apple CarPlay?

  • Make sure Siri is on.
  • Connect your phone to your vehicle using a USB cable. Accept any prompts regarding access regarding application permissions.
  • Select 'Apple CarPlay' on your vehicle's display, if it did not automatically detect and switch inputs.
  • Currently Apply CarPlay is only supported via USB cable connection. Wireless connection not supported at this time.

Can I add Android Auto/Apple CarPlay to my Kia if it didn't come with it?
 
  • Certain Kia vehicles are able to have the Android Auto/Apple CarPlay upgrade added through a software update.
  • Please check the 'Kia Connectivity Upgrade' website to verify if your year/model is eligible for an update.
