The 2024 model year brought a Seltos mid life-cycle facelift to the exterior and interior, while maintaining the overall sleek and attractive look that was originally introduced when the Seltos burst onto the Canadian market as a 2021. The 2024 model year also saw a juggling of the features found in each trim level and the model's first offering of an X-Line version.

All of the changes for 2024 model year remain, making the 2025 nearly a direct carryover. One small exception is that Kia Canada has eliminated the Valais Green exterior from the paint pallette.  Those looking for a colour outside of the Snow White, Fusion Black or one of the grey shades, need not fret though, as the Seltos is still offered in more splashier hues like Lunar Orange, or one of several blues (Pluton, Dark Ocean or Neptune). 

Key Features

The subcompact Seltos positions itself between the smaller Soul hatchback and mid-sized Sportage SUV.  Despite classifying as a subcompact SUV, its size makes room for greater cargo capacity than most of its's rivals.

Outside of the LX and EX, with optional FWD offerings, all other models come with standard AWD. A 2.0L (147hp) 4-cylinder engine is paired with an IVT transmission to appropriately power the majority of the lineup. Drivers looking for a little bit more under the hood can opt for the SX or X-Line to grab a 1.6L Turbo-GDI (with 8-speed Automatic Transmission) for more pep and 195hp.

Some safety features, once available on only top models, have cascaded down to become standard on all trim levels. Every Seltos now finds Lane Keep Assist, Lane Follow Assist, Forward Collision Warning and Blind Spot Collision Avoidance Assistance as standard to go alongside other safety features that were already been part of the Seltos' DNA. 

The Seltos infotainment setup was drastically updated last year 2024, to much fanfare, with a seamless dash/touch-screen audio cluster stretching across over half the dashboard. serving as both a digital gauge display and an infotainment center. This arrangement is optional, and echoes the interior offering of other recent Kia models. A smaller display with an analog gauge cluster is standard, as is Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
